At the heart of it all is Amalfi paper, which is still crafted by hand today, sheet by sheet, using the ancient medieval method. It is a paper with a distinct textural quality, recognizable to the touch by its characteristic ivory hue, its uncut edges, and its watermark visible when held up to the light.
A meeting of great artisan traditions
FEDERICO II was created as a tribute to an era in which Charta Bambagina was already a prized material for prestigious documents and correspondence.
From this legacy emerges a collection that goes beyond paper and brings together three great local traditions: the art of papermaking in Amalfi, Neapolitan bookbinding, and the textile tradition of San Leucio.
The result is a collection in which each material retains its own identity and each craftsmanship reflects the expertise of the hands that created it.

There are three designs in the Prestige Line.
The FEDERICO II Journal fully embodies this philosophy. The inner pages are individually handcrafted using Amalfi paper, following the traditional method on historic canvases. The sheets are then sewn and bound in Naples by master bookbinder Flavio Aquilina, while the cover is embellished with San Leucio silk, a testament to a tradition of manufacturing excellence.
Available in A4 and A5 sizes and in Imperial Gold, Antique Silver, and Ruby Red, each journal comes in an elegant box, designed to protect an item built to last.
But it is in the experience of using it that its artisanal nature is fully revealed: in the texture of the paper beneath your fingers, in the rich sound of the pages, in the way the surface absorbs the ink, and in the natural irregularities that make each sheet different from the one before it.
“ANGELO” Ceremony & Fine Stationery Box
The “ANGELO” Ceremony & Fine Stationery Box was created to preserve moments meant to be remembered on Amalfi paper. This elegant box, handcrafted in Naples by master bookbinder Flavio Aquilina, contains 50 sheets of authentic handmade Amalfi paper and 50 matching envelopes, each folded by hand according to traditional craftsmanship.
Each sheet is embellished with the distinctive “Angelo” watermark, visible when held up to the light, a hallmark of a craftsmanship that makes every piece unique. Designed for wedding invitations, invitations to special events, and formal correspondence, Angelo transforms the choice of paper into an integral part of the message: an object to be treasured, created to accompany words and occasions that deserve to stand the test of time.

The “Angelo” Writing Portfolio celebrates the charm of old-fashioned correspondence and the value of words committed to paper. Handcrafted in Naples by master bookbinder Flavio Aquilina, it is covered with paper adorned with an exclusive heraldic motif created for Amatruda and contains 10 sheets of writing paper and 10 matching envelopes, all handcrafted.
The sheets, handmade in Amalfi using an ancient medieval method, feature naturally uncut edges and, when held up to the light, reveal the exquisite “Angelo” watermark—a symbol of protection and purity. The envelopes, each folded by hand, complete a set designed to help you rediscover the most intimate and elegant aspect of writing.
